IMSE 2023 will be conducted as a live webinar with many  pre-recorded sessions while still preserving some live segments that include audience participation (Q&A). This structure will allow IMSE to include speakers and attendees from throughout the region who could not otherwise travel to Honolulu to participate.

The focus area for IMSE 2023 is “Ensuring Free Access to the Maritime Commons”, with presentations and discussion centered on actions that will contribute towards improved security and stability in the region by identifying and combatting transnational criminal activity associated with IUU fishing, enabling effective multinational engagement, and increasing the capacity and capability of like-minded nations to respond to maritime threats.

IMSE 2023 is made possible in part by the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
